Client Advocay and Confidentiality
The nurse violated confidentiality by informing the officer that the
client wasn’t in treatment. Even with law enforcement agents, the nurse
must be a client advocate and protect the client’s confidentiality.
Information can be legally withheld when a court order isn’t in place.
